We have reached that time when we must end the Friday Produce Orders and wait for the new season vegetables to grow. Seeds have been ordered and the gardeners are geared up and ready to grow – as soon as the weather allows. We will notify you via our newsletter and the website when the new season crops are available.
We have a small farm shop which is open on Wednesdays, and Friday afternoons during the Summer season, from 10th June 2020, selling homegrown fruit and vegetables. Our produce is entirely seasonal so availability varies throughout the year. Chef, Adrian, stocks a range of his organic jams and chutneys, home-made and handmade using only natural ingredients. Also available are copper tools, books and ‘homegrown’ Castlemilk and Jacob sheeps’ knitting wool. As a certified organic and biodynamic farm we do not use any chemicals in the production of our fruit and vegetables, which are harvested only when ready ensuring quality and flavour. The biodynamic principles, under which the vegetable gardens are managed, dictate the sowing and harvesting of the produce.
Tearoom Opening times
The tearoom is currently closed until May 2020. We will revise our opening this Summer, in line with the current UK situation with Covid-19 and the government guidelines in place. Please check the website before planning a visit. During the Summer season the old barn is the perfect setting for a light lunch or tea and biscuits. This tranquil tearoom utilises fresh seasonal ingredients from the gardens and farm so the menu often reflects the time of year.
