A wonderful opportunity to work with Claire Hattersley, former Head Gardener at Weleda UK, in this one-day workshop where we’ll be getting to know Calendula officinalis (Pot Marigold), following a Goethean process of observation. Working as a group, we’ll be sharing our observations, discoveries, and insights into this amazing medicinal plant. No need to bring anything with you other than your curiosity!

Claire will begin the day by introducing you to Goethe’s scientific approach, and we will perform exact observation of the whole Calendula plant in the beautiful gardens of Waltham Place. Later sessions will allow us to extend our observations through drawing and writing, before finally regrowing the plant in our collective imaginations and drawing conclusions from our observations – what has the plant revealed to us?

A relaxing and enjoyable workshop that will allow you to connect more deeply with the plants in your garden.

For those who wish to attend both What's special about Calendula? and What's special about Herbs? we are offering a £10 discount. Please return to the What's On page and select What's special about Calendula and Herbs?

To include refreshments. Please bring a packed lunch.
