Learn the Art of Hexagonal Weave Basketry, with Daniel Docherty of Sacred Art of Geometry. Hexagonal weaving is a beautiful weaving technique that once mastered, offers an abundance of basketry possibilities. Participants will be introduced to the sacred nature of the art form before learning about the materials and tools involved. We'll then begin to weave our baskets! Time allowing and we'll have a go at weaving some woven spherical forms.
No previous experience is required though hexagonal weaving can prove challenging and baskets may need to be completed at home.
Refreshments and biscuits will be provided. Please bring a packed lunch.
